Martha's Vineyard Museum
Laura wed in 1894 at the age of 32. She married Herbert Spear of the U.S. Revenue Marine Service, and her brother Prescott presided over the ceremony. After the wedding, Herbert was transferred to Baltimore. They lived there for several years, and Laura studied art at the Maryland Institute.
