Lynne Whiting
American author, Rebecca Sophia Clake, wrote children's fiction books from 1860 to 1903. Clarke's nieces were the inspiration for her characters, Prudy, Susy, and Dotty Dimple. The Little Prudy books were her most popular. Clarke lived most of her life in the town of Norridgewock, Maine.
