I, Edward Pope, Collector of the District of New Bedford, Do HEREBY CERTIFY That Timothy Snow, an American Seaman, aged Twenty Six years, or thereabouts, of the height of Five feet nine inches Light complection has a small scar on the left hand, was born in the Town of Rochester State of Massachusetts
Has this day produced to me proof in the manner directed in the act intitled “An Act for the relief and protection of American Seamen;” – and, Pursuant to the said act, I DO HERE-BY CERTIFY, That he is a CITIZEN of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA.
